Wellness will be the focus of four free webinars RCSA has planned for members during April and May. RCSA Learning and Development Manager, Cheryll Seslija, said GroundWork leader Bec Mitchell would present the webinars aimed at helping members get through the COVID-19 crisis. The subject of the first webinar, to be broadcast for one hour from 12.30pm on April 29, will be Mind Fitness through COVID-19. In an effort to keep Australian members updated on COVID-19 stimulus packages, RCSA has provided members with an updated copy of the Employer Guide to JobKeeper, released by ACCI with whom RCSA has been working to represent members’ interests with government. The $1,500 per fortnight JobKeeper payment announced on Monday, March 30, will be paid directly to employers to help them keep staff on the books. RCSA is filming an ongoing series of video podcasts to keep members informed on how best to deal with the Coronavirus. RCSA CEO Charles Cameron said three podcasts, dubbed “COVIDeo-19”, were being filmed every week until the pandemic has passed. As the recruitment and staffing sector continues to focus on supporting their clients and candidates, RCSA has made the difficult decision to extend the cut-off date for the 2020 RCSA Industry Awards nominations. The cut-off date for applications to be lodged has been extended to Friday April 24, 2020 at 5pm AEDT and finalists will now be announced on Wednesday June 10, 2020.
