Impressive line-up of judges named for RCSA Industry Awards

April 12, 2018

The RCSA’s Industry Awards nights for Australia and New Zealand are drawing closer and we hope nominations are being prepared around both countries to help us highlight, reward and recognise those who are outstanding in our sector.

This year we have an impressive line-up of judges, including some outstanding judges from within and outside our industry who will assess the merits of each application.

RCSA CEO Charles Cameron will lead the panel of judges as they examine, consider and weigh up the nominations for the 10 categories at this year’s awards.

Joining Charles will be industry leaders such as:

  • General Manager of People, Culture & Safety at Christchurch International Airport, Caroline Harvie-Teare

  • HR Manager at La Trobe University, Peter Andreopoulos

  • HR Manager at Transurban, Dora Peake

  • National Recruitment and Resourcing Manager with BAE Systems Australia, Cathy Riach

  • CEO of Ignite Global, Kim Seeling-Smith

  • HashChing Advisor and COO, Siobhan Hayden

  • Director of Salt Search NZ Jacqui Barratt

  • Chief People & Culture Officer of Godfrey's Group, Mari Ruiz

  • Head of HR at Westpac Group, Adrian Camiller

Other judges for this year’s awards will include 40-year industry veteran and Chair of RCSA’s Professional Practice Council Ross Fisher, Geoff Slade who is the Chairman of Slade Group and with RCSA Life members Paul Veith and Robert Blanche of The Bayside Group.

Other names on the judging panel which may be familiar include Bill Dalby formerly of Invo Personnel, CEO of TwoPointZero Career Coaching Stephen Shepherd, Barrister Andrew Wood, industry stalwart Beryl Rowan and Savage Truth Director Greg Savage.

Also on the judging panel will be independent consultant Michael E Hall, the retired Reg Shields and George Zammit, and Sue Healy, the Non-Executive Director of CML Group.

“We have an outstanding field of judges who will be scrutinising what we are hoping will be an outstanding selection of nominations,” RCSA CEO Charles Cameron said.

“To have so many judges who continue their own work in the sector make themselves available to judge submissions says quite a lot about the regard in which the industry holds these awards.

“We know there are many benefits to entering industry awards, not least of all is having your name floated in front of some of the leading lights of your sector. And with this year’s judging panel that will certainly be the case for those applying for the RCSA Industry Awards.”

Candidates should note that any approach to judges regarding a nomination will immediately disqualify them or their organisation from the awards.
