Breaking down the walls between jobseekers and recruiters
RCSA members Cox Purtell Staffing Services, Aspect Personnel, Beaumont People and SMAART Recruitment recently launched the Meet a Recruiter program.
The first Meet A Recruiter event was held in May in Melbourne and organised by Aspect Personnel and SMAART Recruitment. The second event will be held in June in Sydney with Cox Purtell, Beaumont People and SMAART Recruitment facilitating. This will be held at JobAdders offices.
The program provides 110 jobseekers the opportunity to meet one-on-one with a professional recruiter to provide some valuable tips and advice.
At the event, jobseekers can sit down with an experienced recruiter for 20 minutes and discuss how to best position themselves for future job opportunities.
RCSA applauds the members for taking the initiative to launch such a program and continue to show the value our industry can provide.
Key points of interest from the Melbourne event involving the 80 attendees:
52% unemployed and had been unemployed for at least three months, 30% for more than six months.
60% had never received professional feedback or advice before on how to improve their job application process.
70% said their opinion of recruiters “had improved” as a result of a Meet A Recruiter event. The rest remained neutral with only one person say it had declined.
