TechXpo Pitchfest New Zealand

September 18, 2019

On Wednesday 4 September TexhXpo Pitchfest made its way to Auckland, New Zealand.

Close on the heels of the Australian event held in June, TechXpo NZ offered members access to the latest tech products and innovations which ensure companies are ahead of their competition and driving greater productivity within their organisation.

Attendees were treated to an overview of new technology and how it works, met the tech companies who are changing the way we work and learnt the key skills they need to ride the digital wave through keynote presentation, roundtable discussions and live demos.

In a TechXpo highlight, four start-up companies with new solutions for the recruitment space pitched concept products in the hope of being named the best new solution at the RCSA TechXpo.

iclueReferooSourcr and CheckPlease each had five minutes to pitch and take part in a quick interview with Ian McPherson FRCSA, RCSA Board Vice President, and Chief Operating Officer, Enterprise Recruitment & People. Audience members then voted for their favourite.

And the winner was…Referoo!

Q. Why did you launch this platform? What was the idea behind it?

To improve on the annoying process of collecting references from the view of the referee, candidate and the recruiter.

Q. What solution does it offer users?

It will save time, improve compliance and help with business development combined with the flexibility of phone, SMS and automated communications.

Q. Why is this needed?

The traditional phone and paper-based ref check is ripe for a tech upgrade while maintaining the essential human interaction.
