Key speakers at the 2019 Conference
The impressive line-up of speakers for this year’s World Employment Conference, hosted by RCSA with the World Employment Confederation, on the Gold Coast between October 30 and November 1, will include a number of thought leaders and luminaries sharing their messages.
The keynote speaker for this year’s conference will be the former Executive Director and CTO with Lonely Planet, Gus Balbontin, who will deliver a presentation on the need to Adapt looking at Leadership Through Business Transformation.
Gus now operates his own design and innovation business Roshambo (the term use for paper, scissors, rock in the US) and is making a name for himself as a speaker on the urgent need for us to go against our very natures if we are to make the most of evolving technology.
Dr Richard Harris SC OAM (pictured), the 2019 Australian of the Year, best known for his part in coordinating the rescue of the Thai boys in the cave, will give his presentation Decision-Making in the Dark - the 2018 Thai Cave Rescue. Dr Harris, an Adelaide anaesthetist, became an international sensation when he risked his own life to swim through narrow cave systems to help sedate the 12 young soccer players and their coach so they could be safely evacuated from the cave they had sought refuge in. He is widely credited with being integral to their survival.
Dr Louise Mahler, an international leadership influencer, executive mentor and certified professional speaker will deliver a presentation on The Currency of Trust looking at how valuable it is to build and keep trust between leaders and their staff and how, once broken, it can be extremely difficult to repair.
President at Florida’s Bingham Consulting Professionals, Amy Bingham will look at what is happening in the US sector in her presentation the best of the US - The Best Kept Secrets of the Highest Growing Staffing Firm.
Alexia Hilbertidou, Founder and CEO of GirlBoss New Zealand, will also speak at the conference. Alexia, who launched GirlBoss four years ago to help promote STEM careers for women to provide an online support platform for them, will speak on looking inside the mind of the next generation of young leaders.
Mark Nielsen, CEO (APAC) of Talent International and CEO Magazine’s 2018 CEO of the Year, will talk on How Empowerment Builds Engagement.
