New Members and office bearers for NZ RCSA Council

November 13, 2019

The involvement of our Members is the lifeblood of RCSA so we can’t help but get a little excited when new people put their hands up to be more active and participate at a Board or Council level.

At the November 6 meeting of the New Zealand Council, the roles of Chair and Vice-Chair were handed over to new holders while three Members were elected as new Council representatives.

“With Penni Hlaca MRCSA joining our Board of Directors, this created an opportunity to elect a new Chair and Vice-Chairs,” RCSA NZ Manager, Rebecca Clarke, explained.

“It was great to see succession planning in action with Kelly Common MRCSA elected Chair and Janice McNab FRCSA (Life) and Nicola Colson MRCSA as Vice-Chairs.

“We’d like to thank Penni for her immense contribution as Chair for the past two years and we’re stoked that this valuable contribution will continue, in her capacity as an individual Member (and another NZ) representative on the Board.”

Clarke said Darren Hawkins from Kelly Services, Aaron Fear-Ross from STAT Recruitment and Troy Turner MRCSA from Inside Recruitment were welcomed as new Council Members, and Jason Bishop of Sourced also acknowledged for his efforts during his time on the Council.

“Under Kelly’s leadership two priority actions were initiated for the New Zealand Council and are presently underway,” Clarke continued. “The coordination of member and industry feedback to the Temporary Migrant Exploitation Review under the Promote and Protect Industry portfolio with submissions due on 27 November and Recruitment PopUps under the Networking and Celebration portfolio scheduled for later this month.”

While Penni Hlaca has stood down as Chair, she remains on the Council and is the newly elected Accredited Individual Member Representative on the Board.
