World Employment Conference heads for Madrid
After last year’s amazing success on the Gold Coast, the 2020 World Employment Conference will this year shift to the Spanish city of Madrid.

From September 29 to October 1, leaders of the employment and recruitment industry, policymakers, academics, HR practitioners and trade unionists from around the world will come together to exchange views on how to steer a labour market in transformation.
Labour markets around the world are facing similar challenges: globalisation, digitalisation, demographic changes, urbanization. Workers, employers and policymakers wonder how to best respond to these major transformations.
Through an impressive line-up of both inspirational and knowledgeable speakers, the conference will address issues ranging from the rise of platform work, the use of new technologies and the coexistence of diverse forms of work.
The conference will also look at the need to prepare people for jobs that do not yet exist, the need to deliver a human-centered approach to the new world of work and the evolution of labour laws and social protection schemes adapted to the new realities of work.
International delegates will be provided with plenty of opportunities to exchange views with other professionals and thought-leaders on how to steer a labour market in transformation.
They will enjoy WEC members-only sessions, keynote speeches, workshops and panel debates and sponsor exhibits as well as social events and networking sessions.
