Recruitment ReForm digital conference a huge success

June 17, 2020

RCSA’s first-ever digital conference, ReForm, has been hailed a huge success with record attendance.

The May 28 event attracted 570 participants who experienced a world class line-up of speakers delivering incredible insights on how to survive and thrive in a brave new world of work.

RCSA CEO Charles Cameron said a record number of recruitment and staffing industry participants were engaged for the entire day and commented on the quality and diversity of thought and leadership of presenters.

“I think the quality of ReForm surpassed the expectations of many people, which is a credit to the hard work of the RCSA events team, which engaged with thought leaders and innovators to ensure the digital event was well placed to provide ongoing and real value to members during COVID-19 and, critically, to prepare them for success over coming months,” he said.

“All the feedback we have received has been very positive and what was notable was that many of the participants were individuals who we might not normally have seen at our traditional events where people had to travel. But, above all, I just loved how inclusive this conference was.

“So it was exciting to be able to reach out to a wider audience, with a lot more regional members involved and to have Australian and New Zealand members engaging with each other in genuine interactivity and, importantly, some light hearted banter during such a serious time.

“Many participants have also mentioned the energy the speakers brought to the forum and how infectious it was, which created a very exciting event.”

Charles said the success of ReForm had convinced him, and his team at RCSA that there was a place for further digital conferences to be held in the future.

“So our events team is already working on a follow-up conference for late August or early September when we will follow up on the lessons learnt during ReForm and take our community of professionals to another level,” he said.

“It will focus on how to capture the opportunities presented in the post-COVID world and, although we are still working on a title, I think Evolve would be a great title.

“Watch this space. We’re here to set the pace”
