Hudson has signed an enforceable undertaking with the Fair Work Ombudsman

Hudson recently undertook a review of its workplace relations compliance systems and determined that it contravened the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth) (Act) in the period of 1 July 2014 to 31 October 2020 by:
failing to correctly identify the correct award or award classification which applied to some of its on-hire employees; and
as a consequence, failing to pay some on-hire employees their entitlements under a range of awards.
Hudson has now entered into an Enforceable Undertaking with the Fair Work Ombudsman (FWO) to ensure its ongoing compliance with Commonwealth workplace laws. The Enforceable Undertaking contains formal admissions by Hudson that it breached the Act and that a number of Hudson’s on-hire employees had been underpaid.
Hudson will, as a result of the Enforceable Undertaking, undertake a number of activities to ensure its ongoing compliance such as, conducting two independent audits and providing additional training to employees responsible for placing on-hire employees.
Hudson expresses its sincerest regrets and apologises for these contraventions.
Hudson has established a hotline for all employees to access. The hotline can be contacted on 1800 719 864 or at remediation@hudson.com and, if required, on a confidential basis.
Alternatively, anyone can contact the FWO via www.fairwork.gov.au or on 13 13 94.
