RCSA President Nina Mapson Bone has announced the election of Penny O’Reilly, Managing Director with Hudson and RCSA Board Member, as the industry body’s new Vice President. Penny will join Ian McPherson, Director at Enterprise Recruitment as one of two Vice Presidents.
The announcement was made at RCSA’s Industry Awards Night at Darling Island in Sydney on June 3 which recognised the outstanding achievers in the recruitment and staffing sector.
RCSA CEO Charles Cameron said Penny’s election was a huge win for RCSA and the wider recruitment and staffing industry.
“Penny is an incredible thinker, a steady guide, and one of those individuals that is always three steps ahead,” he said.
“After five years as CEO of RCSA, I am so proud of the leaders our members have elected and appointed to the Board under the exceptional leadership of President, Nina Mapson Bone.”
Penny said she was thrilled to be elected as Vice President and was passionate about leading in the world of work after being a part of the staffing industry for more than 20 years.
“Our industry changes people’s lives. We are so lucky to have the opportunity to help people realise their potential. The RCSA sets the tone for our industry,” she said.
“Our initiatives around policy, our response to COVID, the influence Charles and the RCSA have had over the past few years makes me extremely proud to be part of the team.”
Penny also touched on the challenges and opportunities of working in the industry.
“Our challenge is to keep up with the many priorities across the industry,” she said.
“The RCSA has been focused on delivering against a strong strategic plan to achieve our purpose. This can be tough with ever changing market conditions and an evolving landscape. Our opportunity is to continue to focus, pivot where we can, and support the industry and our people.”
