Recruitment and Staffing Industry ready to support Queensland and NSW flood response
The peak body for the recruitment and staffing industry, RCSA, has expressed its concern for the thousands of people impacted by the devastating floods across Queensland and NSW, and is ready to support the response by connecting affected businesses with support and workers.
“It is devastating to see the impact of the recent floods across Queensland and NSW, and we will be rallying the hundreds of member staffing firms to help respond to immediate and longer-term needs”, RCSA Chief Executive, Charles Cameron, said earlier today.
“Just as we have responded to the COVID-19 crisis, RCSA is equipped to provide surge workforce capability.”
Through the Surge Workforce Program, RCSA has been able to source thousands of Australian workers and professionals in response to the virus outbreaks in aged and healthcare.
“This can easily be adapted to respond to these devastating floods, and we strongly encourage businesses and organisations across all industries to reach out,” explained Cameron.
“Like we have seen with COVID-19, it is integral that the lights are kept on for businesses, clients, and workers, and this is where RCSA and its members can help. When you need a reliable and trained workforce at short notice, the staffing industry is ready to respond.”
RCSA member firms, that provide contracting and staffing services, employ over 200,000 flexible workers each year in almost every industry sector.
